I am appalled this hotel is allowed to still advertise. Do NOT book this place. They left me stranded. I had an extra bill of $75 because they sent me all over Rochester looking for a room. Expected me to share as a lone female with two strange men! They won’t reply to emails or refund my money! It needs to be closed.

We were very happy with the Holiday Inn. The people at the front desk were professional and friendly. The room was large and clean. There is a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker in the room. The next morning we went down to breakfast. There was a wide array of items from cereal, to eggs, to bagels/toast, to juice, and coffee. There was also a fascinating machine that makes two pancakes in under a minute. They were delicious. When we left that morning we were wished well by the front desk person. By the way, there is an Olive Garden next door and across the street are other restaurants. Down the road is a gas station.

Those who stay BEWARE. We were broken into that night and parked rather closely to the front door of the entrance. Another lady beside us was also. You can call the police department to verify my review. Just down the road 3 miles is a dealership called Matthew Hyundai. They replaced the broken window in our car rather quickly, but the other poor lady they tore the entire side column off the steering wheel and she was stranded having traveled from Michigan. This is a common thing that happens there. Especially if you own a Hyundai or Kia. To verify my review please call Matthews Hyundai in Greece New York in the local police department. There was also smoking on the third floor and this is a smoke free hotel. It’s best to travel towards the interstate and stay close in no matter how much of a deal this hotel is. The one good thing going for it was the breakfast and the young man that worked there at the time in June Kept the place spic and span in the food supply going. He was an excellent host. A. Sweet

We are in Rochester for our daughter’s graduation from RIT, and booked 5 rooms for several family members. The hotel is convenient to many things in Rochester, and only about 20 minutes to RIT. But we felt price gouged. Our original reservations were reasonably priced, but some family travel plans had to change and modifying two of the 5 resulted in significantly increased room rates. Disappointing customer treatment. We arrived late on a Wednesday and had difficulty getting into our room (the first room door wouldn’t open, Antonio was super helpful but couldn’t open it either so assigned us a different room -but the A/C didn’t work in the 2nd room; so he moved us to a 3rd room that was ok). Thank you Antonio!!! There is plenty of parking and breakfast was good-what you would expect from this hotel chain. The room and bath were a little cramped but otherwise comfortable. I attached several pictures of the front, breakfast areas, fitness center, and our 2-queen room.

Based on much experience at Holiday Inn Express properties, this Inn is not fully in line with the chain. To start, the lobby is an oddly shaped space with a low ceiling. The front desk staff was capable and knowledgeable. Then you find they have one elevator, which means long waits for customers and staff. Two elevators should be a requirement. Our room was properly furnished and clean. The bathroom was quite small with toilet and shower. The sink was outside. This is an older style layout, not what we are getting used to. The window in our room was double paned, but had failed. It was cloudy and at night it allowed the wind to blow into the room. The breakfast area is on the smaller side. The food was good, hot and the staff was staying on top of refills. Was this building repurposed as a Express? Be aware that you will miss some of the usual comforts, but this may meet your needs for this area at this price point.
